The exhibition will present more than 60 works by Hans Arp, from all periods of his artistic career. This will include sculptures, reliefs, drawings, collages, prints and paintings. Arp’s works will be confronted with works of polish artists from the same time period, like Władysław Strzemiński, Henryk Stażewski, Wanda Chodasiewicz-Grabowska, as well as works by artsts in coherent relation with Arp’s formal language and his theory of art. These include Alina Szapocznikow, Maria Jarema, Andrzej Pawłowski, Iwona Demko, Aleksandra Ska and Tomasz Marek.

The exhibition at the National Museum in Poznań is the first presentiation of works by Hans Arp of its kind. It is a look from a scientific perspective on both the art of Hans Arp and its reception in Poland from 1930’s to present day.
